March 26, 1999. Melissa arrives as a Word document promising logins for adult sites, and once it is opened it mails itself to the first 50 names in the address book. Fifty at a time is enough. Mail servers at Microsoft and Intel buckled under their own outbound traffic and were switched off at the door. Find the sharpest rise in the send rate.
