August 8, 2016. A power control module fails at Delta's data centre in Atlanta at half past two in the morning. The backup was meant to take over, and for a few hundred servers it simply did not, because those racks had never been wired to it. Around two thousand three hundred flights were cancelled over the next three days. Pick a source that is actually up.
